Cast members from TVB series "Jewel's Splendor" including Bowie Lam and Moses Chan headed out to Qingdao yesterday for location filming, where Moses was well received by the female fans. Gigi Lai is unable to join the cast on this trip as she has to stay in Hong Kong to look after her brother Stephen, who was seriously injured in a road accident. With reports that there is no set date for her return to work, leading to the progress on the show being slow and coming in overbudget, Moses says: "Things have been slowed down and spending has gone up, but you cannot blame Gigi because the process of clearing customs with all the equipment is lengthy and complicated. I hope Gigi's brother will be fine and she can focus on her work again." Bowie also supports Gigi, saying: "It is slower, but not by much and the most important thing is that her brother recovers." Stars are great sel-ca takers. After all, it’s their job to look superb in front of the cameras. But sometimes, these stars are too occupied with how they look in their sel-cas that they overlook what’s in the background. Jung Il-woo’s recent sel-ca at the public bathhouse earned him criticisms because he overlooked the butt-naked guy hastily covering up his body in the background and carelessly uploaded the picture online. Although some fans were happy to see their favorite pretty boy shirtless, most were furious because a rising star was inconsiderate of other dudes in the locker room. |

Comeback queen, Bada’s new look must have been inspired by the glamorous Kim Hee Ae’s character of mistress from the drama, “My Man’s Woman.” She is trying to bring back the 80’s with the ajuma frizz, big earrings and bold bright neons. I don’t know any Korean woman in her right mind would have such a hairstyle for too long - it ages you 10 years. Bada looks like she is in her late 30’s and looking like that does not bode well for a young pop diva’s career. But then again, I could be wrong. Perhaps the ajuma frizz will be back in full force causing the masses to kink their hair in the same style. I already see hints of the 80’s neons coming back in accessories - shoes and bags. Was it really necessary to group a dozen girls together to form the female version of Super Junior? I don’t think so, but obviously SM does. Rumors about Super Girls has been around for years, so in order to spark a bit more interest among potential fans, SM is marketing this new group a little differently. They are revealing the members of the group one at a time. It started out with flashing YoonA’s picture all over the net on the 6th, then Tiffany on the 7th, Yuri on the 8th and the latest addition was Hyo Yeon aka “Power Dance Queen” on the 9th. |

Jackie Chan announced Wednesday he has bequeathed half of his fortune to charity, saying he looks up to philanthropists like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.
The exact amount involved, however, wasn’t clear, because Chan declined to reveal his net worth.
