Since filming movie, 《十分愛》, Linda Chung Ka Yan received critical acclaim and became the new darling in the film industry. Many film projects have been interested in signing Linda.
Linda is currently filming a movie with Shawn Yue Man Lok and Chan Kwan. The movie is directed by Ma Chor Sing. Yesterday, Linda filmed a scene with Shawn until the early AM hours in Central district. In the scene, Shawn wanted to impress Linda by driving her in his Beetle car full of fresh flowers. However Linda was unfazed and started arguing with Shawn on the street instead. Chan Kwan acted as the middle man for the couple.
When Linda accepted reporters' interviews in the morning, her voice was hoarse. "I was already sick. After filming the crying scene from last night, I truly lost my voice!" |

Hard bodied, sexy singer, Mina (36 - damn, don’t she look great?!) who was discovered at the 2002 World Cup games in Korea, has released an new hiphop/dance album, “Minatasia” in Korea and China at the same time. However, her image for the 2 markets will be different. For China, she will maintain her sexy concept, wearing minimal clothing, whereas for Korea, she will keep the clothes on to project a more hiphop-cool look for the ultra conservative domestic fans. Yah right. Someone should wake up and smell the Chong-guk-jang because there are so many popstars out there who are going to new lows with their slutty bare-all outfits - one more won’t hurt. There have been reports that Tracy Ip's mother is seriously ill and needs a kidney transplant and asked about this yesterday, Tracy did not talk about her mother's condition in detail, but was a little teary as she indicated she was prepared to donate a kidney to help her mother: "I just hope for a miracle to appear."
Working at TVB City yesterday, Tracy said with some tears in her eyes: "My mother found out about her condition over a month ago, I will not go into details, but I hope for a miracle to appear. (Are you planning to donate your kidney to her?) I do want to do this, but it depends on the test results and whether it is suitable for her. If it is a match, then I will do it. Although the doctor says that there is additional danger for the live donor and my mother is worried that the operation will leave a scar and will mean I am in hospital for several months, but I cannot bear for my mother to be in pain."
As for the suggestions that she has been 'selling her flesh' to raise money for her mother's medical fees, Tracy says that she had not discussed her mother's condition before and this is not related. As for the medical fees, Tracy says: "I do not know yet, but for my mother, I will do my best." Reports indicate that TVB plan to send Tracy to the Mainland to do some special reports related to the Olympics and she says she is happy that the company are giving her the opportunity, so she will do her homework and put her all into it. For the sake of her mother, she will work hard.

The blessing ceremony for the movie, ‘The Fantastic Water Babes’ (出水芙蓉) was held in Cheung Chau yesterday. Apart from the main casts, Gillian Chung, Alex Fong, Tian Liang and Eva Huang, Eva’s rumoured boyfriend, Yang Zi also attended the event. At the previous function for the movie, Alex and Gillian seemed to disregard each other but this time, the two cooperated very well. Not only did they stand next to each other during the group photo, they were then willing to have photos taken of them standing together. But once the ceremony started, the two went their separate ways. When Gillian accepted a television interview, she immediately turned away when she saw that Alex had not finished his. Yesterday’s weather was unsettled, causing Eva Huang to be soaked from the sudden down pour of rain. Her blue dress became transparent, which revealed her white top underneath.
In this movie, Gillian and Alex play bickering enemies, when asked if they will become lovers, Alex replied, “At the moment, it’s bickering. There will be no kissing scene.” It is known that Gillian and Alex have a lot of screen time together, so it was questioned if they will meet up in their own time and talk about the script. When asked this, Alex nervously answered, “I do not dare! Artists are lonely people, we do not have many friends, and most of my friends are not in this industry!”
Gillian has moved in Cheung Chau because most of the scenes in the movie are shot there. Although there have been many ghost stories about the region, Gillian is not afraid. Regarding Yumiko Cheng’s latest wardrobe malfunction, Gillian refused to comment but stated that EEG members are like a big family.

Edison Chen, who was earlier in Taiwan to promote his new album', seemed to be making snide remarks on his old company, Music Plus (EEG) and its contracted singers. It has been reported that when the boss, Albert Yeung heard about this, he was extremely angry and immediately demanded a public apology from Edison through his solicitor. When knowing that he had done the wrong this, Edison has apologised through this newspaper (oriental daily).
In Edison new song, 'Remember Me?' one part of lyric goes: "For 3 years where did Edison go? It will be better to ask EEG than ask me..." During a press conference in Taiwan, Edison also publicly commented on his old company by saying, "Only artists who have no opinion could work with that company. The company is only suitable for artists who have no opinion what so ever." Which evidently shows that Edison is calling all EEG artists 'stupid'.
When Albert Yeung heard about Edison's rants, he immediately sent out a legal warning letter, accusing Edison of slander and requesting for the performer to publicly apologise. EEG's artist management manager, Mani Fok, commented, "Edison's words was slander, it is over the top. He does not respect us at all! As an adult, he should be responsible for his words. Justice must be done for our artists!" Another EEG executive disclosed that while working with Edison, he had given him a lot of freedom. The albums manager then reminded reporters that Edison's hit song 'Hong Kong' (香港地) is also a EEG production.
After doing a long distance phone interview, Edison expressed that he has not wished to make snide comments on EEG and its artists. He explained that the misunderstanding had been caused because of his poor Mandarin. Edison said, "The lyric only means that I had not release an album for quite a while, which tells fans to ask the company. My relationship with EEG is good, I have dinner with Mr. Yeung nearly every month. He is my girlfriend's uncle, I respect him. I apologise to EEG and its artists. I hope that in the future, my company will be as successful as EEG."
As for saying that EEG artists are 'stupid', Edison explained, "EEG has experienced staff who advise newcomers what to do. This is because they are unfamiliar to the industry but I have been in this industry for 7 to 8 years now, so I have my own thoughts." Edison then revealed that he will be collaborating with EEG artists in the future and stated, "If I hated the company, why would I still work with them?"
Regarding Edison's apology, Mani said, "The legal warning letter has already been sent out. The matter is up to our solicitor now."
