Twins, Sammy Leung (森美) and Justin Lo (側田) attended a function at Hong Kong Disneyland, today. They created new outfits for a human-sized Mickey Mouse. Today also happened to be Twin member Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐)'s birthday - she turned 27 - and she happily exclaimed of being ecstatic to be spending the entire day with Mickey. For her design of Mickey's outfit, Gillian had Mickey wearing a Tarzan outfit, explaining that indigenous people are very lively, so the image portrayed is active and healthy. |

Rounding off the year's achievements in the Hong Kong music industry, the RTHK 30th Top Ten Gold Songs Awards (第三十屆十大中文金曲頒獎音樂會) took place last night at the Hong Kong Coliseum, where over 40 awards were presented, including a special award to Theresa Carpio (杜麗莎) for her contribution to the industry over the years and the highest accolade for the year, the Four Stations Combined Media Award. Theresa was congratulated by her two daughters on the stage upon receiving the award and performed a couple of her classics on the stage to celebrate. Scooping a further five awards on the night to add to the 15 he had already received, Eason Chan (陳奕迅) emerged comfortably as the outright winner of the Media Award. His RTHK achievements included awards for Best Male Singer, Nation's Best Chinese Song, World's Best Chinese Song and the Male Singer with the top album sales. Whilst attempting to perform some complicated dance moves on the stage, Eason injured his arm, but this did not affect his mood and delight at his achievements. |

Pop singer-turned actor Jay Chou acts in scenes from "Kung Fu Dunk," opening in Chinese theaters on February 7, the Chinese New Year. Raymond Lam Fung won the Best Male Newcomer gold award at TVB's annual JSG music awards ceremony several nights ago. When Raymond went on stage to receive the award, there were loud boos from some audience members. At the post award celebration, Raymond said, "I did not hear any boos from the audience. I only heard the singers cheering. Thank you everyone for supporting me. I really did not hear any boos!" |
