Tycoon to turn Bruce Lee's last home into museum

The billionaire owner of Bruce Lee's final home hopes to build a museum to the martial arts legend, giving in to public calls to prevent the sale of the luxury house in a northern Hong Kong suburb for millions of dollars.

Philanthropist hotel and real estate tycoon Yu Panglin, 86, had put Lee's two-storey, 5,699 square-foot town house in an upscale, leafy Kowloon suburb up for sale but changed his mind, giving in to fans' desire for the site to be preserved.

Hong Kong actress Anne Heung, the top Miss Hong Kong in 1998, has quit her career in the entertainment circle and became an office lady in Shanghai.

China News Service reported on Tuesday that Heung said she still cannot adapt to the life of an entertainer after ten years, which was presumed to be the main reason for her choice.

Lee Hyo Ri who will soon be releasing her 3rd solo studio album after a hiatus for the past two years, revealed a 30 secs MV preview clip and her album promotional poster which attracted the attention of fans and the public.

As the last singer to hold a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum before renovations, Kelly Chen's "Love Fighters 2008" concert drew to a close last night. In front of an audience of 20,000 near the end of the concert, Kelly announced that she will get married soon to her boyfriend of many years, Alex Lau. During the announcement, Kelly could not hide her joy and started crying. She said that after marriage, she will continue her work in the entertainment industry and will NOT quit the industry.

Bringing together over 500 acts from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and SE Asia, the Artistes 512 Fundraising Campaign <演藝界512關愛行動> concert took place this afternoon at the West Kowloon Reclamation Site to raise money for the Sichuan Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund.

The show started at 2:28 pm and went on until 10:00 pm, providing non-stop entertainment to members of the public, who were charged a minimum $20 donation to enter. 100 telephone lines were also set up for people to ring in and pledge donations throughout the duration the show, which was also televised on both TVB and ATV.

A one-minute silence marked the start of the show to remember the people who had died when the earthquake, measuring 7.8 on the Richter Scale, struck a massive area across Sichuan at 2:28 pm on 12 May 2008.
