TVB and CCTV joint venture to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Return of Hong Kong to Chinese Rule in the form of 60 episode series "The Drive of Life" will begin airing in China tomorrow and in Hong Kong on 16th July. To mark the occasion, TVB held a special world premiere event at a Wanchai Hotel yesterday, attended by Vice-Director of the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong Mr Li Gang, CCTV Controller Mr Zhao Huayong and TVB Deputy Managing Director Chan Ching Cheung for a lighting up ceremony. This is the first time such an event has been held at the Grand Hyatt and cast members present included Charmaine Sheh, Jessica Hsuan, Myolie Wu, Sheren Tang, Damian Lau, Michael Miu and Raymond Lam.

Tavia Yeung, Alex Fong Chung Shun and Christine Ng attended the costume fitting for new series "Building Romantic Days" yesterday, where Alex plays an architect and has romances with the two ladies.

It has been three years since Alex took part in a TVB series and when he drove into TVB City, he went the wrong way and was fined $100 because his parking permit had expired. he says: "I am alright filming on location, but studio shots will be difficult when there are three cameras honed in on you. It has been a long time since I filmed in a studio and I am worried I will not be used to it." Tavia is in awe of Alex he laughs that this girl will go far because she respects her elders.

Tavia will have a romantic lead with Alex and she says: "I have always liked him and often watch his films. I think he is so cool and handsome, so I am afraid I will be blushing when I am filming with my idol." Christine has put on 10 lbs for her role and she explains that she wants to look a little rounder to make her seem more lovable. Asked how her weight gain is coming along, she says: "I will be heading out to London and Paris soon, so when I am happy I can eat more. However, I have been doing a lot of yoga earlier to lose weight, so this will be a waste of my efforts." Christine says her family and her husband have always been saying she is too thin, so they are very pleased she is putting on some weight.

Bernice Liu took part in the opening event of an exhibition of art by modern artist Burton Morris at Kowloon Tong's Festival Walk yesterday, attended by the artist himself. During the show, they fed each other popcorn and he led Bernice off the stage to show him his artwork. He seemed rather enamoured by Bernice as he placed his hand around her waist. Asked if she felt he had his hand around her waist too much, Bernice says: "No, he just touched me. I am happy to have the chance to meet him because he is quite famous overseas and he says he will give me one of his works. I never thought he would be so friendly."
