While Francis Ng is by now well recognized as a top actor, shining in films like Johnnie To's The Mission and Exiled, his directorial talent is still developing. After turning in films like 9413 and What Is A Good Teacher, he now co-directs with Marco Mak (Wo Hu, Color of the Truth) for Dancing Lion, a comedy filled with satirical references to Hong Kong's current affairs. The film sees how a wacky office manager (Francis Ng) tides through a layoff crisis - a threatening experience shared by many Hong Kong people in the beginning of the new millennium - with support from his family members, portrayed by Anthony Wong, Teresa Mo, and Gia Lin. |
