An injury whilst rehearsing for TVB Singers Celebrate The Anniversary <翡翠歌星賀台慶> landed Niki Chow (周麗淇) in hospital on Saturday, where she was diagnosed with a suspected cracked kneecap. After cooling with icepacks, the swelling had gone down and she was back at the hospital today for an MRI scan.

Asked if she will still be taking part in the anniversary show, Niki said she did not know yet, but she will try her best. The doctor said that she had dislocated her joint, but there was not actually any bone damage. Her record company and TVB are both very concerned about her condition. As for how long she needed to rest for, Niki said she did not know, but she just wanted to get better soon and get back to rehearsals. She said that her right knee is still swollen. Asked if the pain was bearable, she said she will grit her teeth, but it is still quite painful when she bends her knee or walks.

When reporters asked who will be footing the bill for her treatment, Niki said she did not know, but the producer was very worried about her and was calling her regularly to apologise. Niki added that the doctor had told her that if she carries on dancing, she will have to undergo surgery, but she admitted to being disobedient. However, she will take things easy and be careful.

Asked whether or not rumoured boyfriend Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) has called her, Niki said that many of her friends have been in touch and send her messages. Is Kevin worried about her? Niki said that she has not seen anyone since her accident, so she did not know, but she did not want to disturb anyone from their own work. She said she is determined to recover soon so that she does not let her team-mates down for her routine. With five days to go until the performance, Niki is sure that she will be fit enough to perform.
