Jolin Tsai was the biggest winner at the 18th Golden Melody Awards on Saturday, dubbed the Chinese-language Grammys. Jolin Tsai was awarded Most Popular Female Singer and Best Mandarin Female Singer, for her album "Dancing Diva," a fusion of hip hop, reggae, rock and roll, ballads and Middle Eastern music.

"I want to thank those who think it's impossible for me to make it because they keep me going forward ... I also want to thank my fans who have supported me all the way," said an emotional Jolin Tsai.

The Most Popular Male Singer award went to Taiwan singer Show Luo, who signed on with the recording company EMI in May and is preparing for a new album. The Best Mandarin Male Singer was Korean American singer Nickey Lee for his R and B album "I'm Your Baby."

Producer-singer-songwriter David Tao collected the Best Song of the Year award for his ballad "You Are Marrying Me Today," a duet he performed with Jolin Tsai.

Taiwan pop king Jay Chou, although he missed out in the Best Mandarin Male Singer nominations, won the first-ever Best Single Producer award for his hit Rap song "Huo Yuan Chia," the theme song for a martial-arts film 'Fearless'.
