HKPAG representatives including Andy Lau (劉德華), Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) and Joey Yung (容祖兒) have arrived in the areas of Sichuan affected by the earthquake earlier this month.

The celebrities attended a Buddhist prayer ceremony today at Chengdu's Baoguang Temple to pray for the victims and survivors of the disaster, which has left over 80,000 dead and displaced millions of people.

The ceremony was attended by many of the relief workers as well as distinguished guests representing China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. As the main 20 minute prayer was being recited, even the heavens were moved to tears as the sunshine gave way to a small rainshower.

Andy, Sammi and Joey then went on to meet the volunteers, emergency workers and other people who are still working hard to help those affected by the disaster.

Meanwhile, other HKPAG members, Gilbert Lam (林韋辰), Joey Meng (萬綺雯) and Grace Cheung (張家瑩) visited some of the injured in a local hospital to bring messages of support and encouragement.
