Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) prepares to film for a scene in TVB series Burning Flame III <烈火雄心III> on the side of a cliff face, 13 August 2008, Tung Lung Island, Sai Kung, Hong Kong.

Despite the intense summer weather, the cast and crew of TVB series Burning Flame III <烈火雄心III>, including Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Stephen Wong (黃嘉樂) and Matthew Ko (高鈞賢), were busy at work filming on location at Sai Kung's Tung Lung Island yesterday.

The popular hiking location provided the backdrop for a heroic scene, where the characters had to perform a daring rescue on the side of a steep cliff face. Playing the role of a firefighter in the series, Kevin had to be hoisted up and down the rock about three or four times during filming. He smiled that this was nothing compared to an earlier filming experience in Australia, where he was suspended facing downwards, leaving him terrified. He said that there were plenty of safety precautions taken to film this scene, so he had complete faith in the crew.

Asked about the recent sad news about the two real-life firefighters who had lost their lives in the course of duty, Kevin said that he has thought about them a lot during filming recently.

Bosco was also required to be suspended down the cliff face and sharing his experiences of the training course that he had taken as part of preparation to film for this series, he said that taking part in this genre of series has made him feel extremely masculine and courageous. He added that although it was hard work filming in the strong sunshine, it was still not as difficult as filming in the fire scenes.
