Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅), FAMA (農夫) and Eric Kwok show off their T-shirt creations at a promotional event for Second 08 Music Is Live Concert <08拉闊第二場音樂會>, 25 August 2008, Hong Kong. The concert will take place on 30 September at AsiaWorld Expo.

Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅), FAMA (農夫), Jan Lamb (林海峰) and Eric Kwok will be taking part in the Second 08 Music Is Live Concert <08拉闊第二場音樂會> on 30 September at AsiaWorld Expo. A press conference was held today to announce the details and all the stars except Jan were present.

There have been reports recently suggesting that Miriam's popularity has dropped since she decided not to renew her singer contract with TVB this year and suggestions that she has now signed with TVB again to remedy the situation.

When asked about this matter, Miriam said frankly that the two most important contracts to her are with her manager and her record company. She then smiled that she is happy to give 20% of her earnings to her manager because everything else is down to him to sort out for her.

Miriam continued by saying that her true market value can only be measured by the quality of her singing and her acting, so her only worry is about not performing to the best of her ability. As a result, she is not worried about anything else. Asked if her assignment as MC of the Mr Hong Kong contest was part of her new TVB contract negotiation, Miriam explained that she had arranged this job with TVB executive Ho Lai Chuen (何麗全) a long time ago and this was arranged before her current contract was drawn up.

Asked if she felt that her popularity went down when she was free of TVB, Miriam said that it was unrelated and popularity is more about how much contact she has with the audience.
