TVB's hit drama Moonlight Resonance <家好月圓> aired its double-length finale episode yesterday evening and to mark the occasion, a special banquet was held at Tsuen Wan's Discovery Park Shopping Centre, where the cast members joined members of the public to share a 50 table banquet together and watch the show on a big screen.
Many of the show's stars made an appearance at the show, but Moses Chan (陳豪) and Fala Chen (陳法拉) were absent as they were away on a promotional trip in Malaysia. As a result, Raymond Lam (林峯) and Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) became the centre of attention.
Although Linda's character in the show is always crying, the audience have not been particularly sympathetic and she has received criticism about her poor performance in this series. When asked about this, Linda replied that she was not unhappy about it and after several similar roles in recent series, she is looking to play a character who is stronger-willed in the future.
Not to be outdone by Linda's sexy outfit, Tavia Yeung (楊怡) also stole the attentions of the press with her outfit. With reports that she has earned HK$980,000 from additional work after the show has aired, she smiled that the magazines are very clever to work it out when she does not even know how much she has earned. She admitted that she has done quite well as a result of the show's success.  Veteran artistes Lee Si Kei (李司棋), Susanna Kwan (關菊英), Ha Yu (夏雨), Michelle Yim (米雪) and Lee Heung Kam (李香琴) were also present to enjoy the banquet. Si Kei said that her favourite scene in the series was where the Ha Yu's true mistress was revealed because she became very absorbed into the story and even just reading the script had made her extremely angry. Asked if she preferred Moonlight or the original Heart Of Greed <溏心風暴), Si Kei replied that she liked both just as much.
Susanna was asked once again about the open declaration of love for her female friend Willy Chow (周偉利), but she replied that she had said enough and the reports had already given enough detail about them. Asked why Willy had not joined her at the event, Susanna said that Willy is supporting her by watching at home.
The show's villainess Michelle has earned both hatred for her character, but admiration for her acting from the viewers. Asked if her partner Wan Chi Keung (尹志強) was there to support her, Michelle revealed that he is watching at home. She smiled that her boyfriend would hold her and say that her character is totally despicable.
A number of performances were given by the cast during the event and Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) was the lucky winner of some gold jewellery during the lucky draw. TVB executives Stephen Chan (陳志雲) and Virginia Lok (樂易玲) also attended to share in the show's success.
