This year's TVB Tung Wah Charity fundraiser <歡樂滿東華2008> will be taking place on 13 December at TVB City and a press conference was held today, attended by some of the stars who will be performing in the telethon event, including Eason Chan (陳奕迅), Susanna Kwan (關菊英), Liza Wang (汪明荃), Margie Tsang (曾華倩), Cutie Mui (梅小惠), Shek Sau (石修), Hacken Lee (李克勤), Juno Mak (麥浚龍), HotCha, EO2 and Sharon Yeung (楊盼盼). To kick off the fundraising events, Eason asked for sponsors to buy his hand squeezed orange juice from him. One of the directors offered him a donation of HK$50,000 but insisted that he drank the juice himself. He added that he is better at squeezing the controls of a BMX, because he has been riding since he was seven or eight years old, so maybe he could perform at next year's show.Asked about reports that his father is now in Beijing receiving treatment for his liver condition, Eason did not respond, but thanked everyone for their concern. Sharon said that she will not be taking part in the dangerous stunt this year, but will be offering instruction from the sidelines to make sure that the performers are safe. Angela Tong (湯盈盈) will be taking part in the stunt and was asked if she will be taking hints from rumoured boyfriend Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂). She replied that she was worried about him pulling her trousers down, making reference to a mishap in an earlier show, where he accidentally pulled away the trousers from Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡) during a trapeze act. Juno was asked about a recent incident, where he was seen to be sniggering when a fan called up to an internet radio show and used bad language to talk about Edison Chen (陳冠希). He explained that he is quite easily embarrassed and the reason he found it funny was because he was so shocked at the response of his fan. |
