Bernice Liu has become the new face of an international cosmetics company in Hong Kong, winning over the influence with her unique mix of confidence, sexiness, healthiness and sweetness, driving the company's 2007 campaign.

Bernice filmed a set of advertising stills recently and in order to cope with the close up pictures, she had taken time to get lots of rest before the shoot so she could be on her best form. In order to capture her alluring eyes, just one close-up of her eyes took four hours to shoot, but Bernice was still full of vitality and was ever as attractive. The image director had also arranged for some designer clothing for her to wear for the shoot, as well as some great hairstyle and make-up looks. Whether it was wearing a low cut shoulderless outfit or a pure white innocent dress, or even a mature cream suit, Bernice showed off her best in four different themed images during the eight hour shoot, each time showing off a new fresh look.

Bernice smiles that in the past when she was a child, she loved dressing up as an adult and putting on make-up. To be able to promote the same make up brand as Hollywood actress Halle Berry as well as numerous supermodels around the world, then this is a great privelege for Bernice and she is very excited by this.

Bernice Liu took part in an awards ceremony for Good Service at the airport yesterday as a presentation guest. She says that she usually flies out on average once a month, so she is a regular visitor at the airport. She praises the Hong Kong Airport staff for their high quality service. She also describes how her family are separated over two countires, so they have very little time together and as a result whenever they see each other off at the airport, they will spend some quality time together which she cherishes a lot. She smiles that she often ends up crying at the airport.

Bernice has only been in Hong Kong for five years, so she does not yet have the three stars [permanent status] on her ID card. She says that the service at the airport is already very good, but it is a hindrance that she cannot get a Smart ID to pass through immigration quickly. She does not have a China Entry permit either, but she believes that if she continues to live in Hong Kong, then she will soon have her permanent status and become a true Hong Kong Citizen.

Bernice Liu has been invited to represent Revlon in the Hong Kong area recently and a signing ceremony was held in Central yesterday. Dressed in a signature red dress, Bernice showed off her great figure. This is the first time that this brand has appointed a Hong Kong spokesmodel and Bernice indicates that her fee is a six-figure sum which she is very pleased with and takes her well on her way towards buying her apartment.

At the event, Bernice introduced a new lip powder product and asked if she has tested this on her boyfriend, she replies playfully: "I will test it on Mac Mac [her dog]. How about Mo Mo?) Who? I will test it on my mother. (Moses Chan!) I am not responding to questions about rumours." Although Bernice refused to talk about her gossip, talking about Moses always brings a smile to her face.

At another event promoting the Olympic Games, Moses indicates that he likes watching weight-lifting events, especially the ladies' events. Asked if he likes their figures, he says: "Don't look at their figures, you have to look at their strength."

Moses reveals that he has been working out recently and reduced his waist down to 28 inches from 34 inches in just three weeks. As well as a six-pack, he has also developed a 42 inch chest. Since working out, he has become admired by other men and he laughs that fortunately he has not been propositioned yet. However, he has been subjected to a lot of suggestive glances from 'interested people', who have followed him and given him roses. Asked if Bernice likes his muscles, he says: "I don't know about that."

TVB actress Bernice Liu is fine being a singleton, thank you very much.

In town last week to launch Marie France Bodyline's new flagship outlet at International Building, she looked shocked when asked if she would marry rumoured boyfriend, fellow TVB actor Moses Chan.

'Huh? For me, marriage is not an option right now,' said Bernice, who is also Marie France's new spokesmodel.

The sexy 28-year-old quickly added that she's been romantically linked to a lot of people.

She was a lot more open about the love affairs of her precious dogs, whom she refers to as her children.

Last December, she held a wedding ceremony for her two Bichon Frise pooches: Mac (her 'son' of more than two years) and Baily (her 'daughter-in-law', a dog she got to be Mac's mate).

There were witnesses (the pet dogs of her good friends), paw prints and marriage certificates.

So even though her dogs have found happiness, she said she doesn't know what she wants for herself romantically.

'That's what my dogs are for - to keep me entertained,' she said.

Yea, she still needs work on singing live. However I really admire her. I remember seeing her in this chinese game variety show and they were making fun of her lack of chinese, but she was so good humored about it. She's cool! I know I would have felt pretty terrible and felt inferior.

Last night for a health food advertisement, Bernice Liu showed her sex appeal by wearing a sexy white tank top and mini shorts. Being a spokesman for three years already, she was totally satisfied with the salary. She also said that her weight right now is only 100 pounds and her chubby stomache is completely gone.

Bernice was asked whether she wants to go tanning in a bikini in the summer and she said, "No, you have to keep fit as an actress. But I did try going tanning in a bikini before and that's good that no one recognized me."

Hong Kong artiste Bernice Liu oozes charm.

As my photographer clicked away at the subject of my interview, it was difficult for me not to stare.

Draped in a slinky silvery mini-dress that lovingly hugged the curves of her hourglass figure and showed off her wonderfully long legs, she has the body of an Amazon.

It was hard not to be even a little intimidated by the statuesque 1.71m beauty. I wondered if she would turn out to be a diva.

But apart from rumours about her relationship with fellow TVB artiste Moses Chan, there has rarely been a nasty report about Liu. And at the end of my 15-minute interview, I understood why.

It is not uncommon that, due to the Hong Kong media’s intrusive reporting style, Hong Kong artistes have adopted a wary and defensive stance when meeting the media.

But what I found remarkable is that after five years in the industry, Liu has lost none of her winsome girl-next-door ways and down-to-earth nature. At one point of our conversation, we talked about food. Her eyes lit up and she gleefully declared that she loves to eat.

"What fun is there in life if you restrict yourself to what you can eat? And especially in Hong Kong, the food is just so shiny and shimmery; it really whets the appetite," she related, laughingly. And in case you were wondering, she has a weakness for chocolates and tiramisu.

Liu's unassuming style is perhaps the result of having been raised with her elder sister and young brother in the small town of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada.

She had a regular childhood. While she loved to dance, she never harboured dreams of performing. Instead, when she was growing up, she envisioned that she would be working in some big corporation and at the age of 24, starting a family.

Liu was already on her way to realising her vision. She was a third year student at University of British Columbia (UBC). But her plans went awry when she enterted the Miss Chinese Vancouver pageant.

"I had switched from science to international business and as part of the programme requirement I needed to take up a language. I had initially thought of learning Mandarin in two months and doing the language test. But I realised there was no way I would be able to do it.

"Some people then told me that the best way to pick up the language would be to join a TV station. So I joined Fairchild Television (a Canadian Cantonese cable television specialty channel), where I learned how to speak Cantonese instead," said Liu, who was recently unveiled as Marie France Bodyline's celebrity spokesperson for Malaysia and Singapore in Kuala Lumpur.

Liu explained that the station was the organiser for the annual Miss Chinese Vancouver and after much persuasion from her colleagues, she joined the pageant.

She surprised herself by winning and what’s more, repeated her success in Hong Kong by taking home the 2001 Miss Chinese International Pageant crown. But after she got home, she did not think much about the win.

"I was on scholarship in UBC and my mind was just focused on my studies. When someone from Fairchild contacted me and asked me if I was interested in joining TVB (Television Broadcast Limited), I initially said no.

"Then I found out that I could extend my graduate programme for 10 years, whereby I can resume my studies before the 10-year period is up. So, I decided to take TVB's offer, to see what else is there for me.

"Unlike dancing, I'm not trained in acting. It's something very foreign to me but it looks fun. But yeah, I do want to go back and finish my studies. I still have four years to go."

Together with her dad, Liu packed up and headed for Hong Kong. Her first appearance was in the popular serial Golden Faith, where she had a minor role.

In 2002, she landed her big break, playing princess Sam Tim in the period sitcom Virtues of Harmony. She made such an impression that viewers nicknamed her "Princess". More roles followed despite the fact that she can't read Chinese, relying on pinyin, with her father's help.

She has completed filming The Entire City Dances, a series about a group of young people and their passion for dance. With her dancing background, she’s been dancing since she was four, the show is a must-watch for fans. Currently, she is working on the new series, Harmony Taste & Passion.

In addition to acting, Liu is also becoming a favourite with advertisers. Aside from Marie France Bodyline, she recently signed with Revlon Hong Kong as their spokesmodel, the first time the brand has appointed a Hong Kong spokesmodel.

Liu plans to branch into singing after winning the best newcomer award at this year's TVB Jade Solid Gold competition.

"Looking at my life now, I can't ask for more. I feel so blessed. I don't think I have an edge over my colleagues. I believe that you just have to stay true to yourself and people will see you for who you are."

She attributed her success to her family. While her mother divides her time among her three children (her other daughter is in Vancouver and her son works in China), it is Liu’s father who has taken on the duty of caring for her.

"The awesome side of coming to Hong Kong is having my dad with me. We have grown closer. He keeps me grounded. He will point out my mistakes and even if I’m tired, he will wake me up for church," she related with a chuckle.

Liu keeps a gruelling schedule. She is awake at 5.30am for a full day of filming that usually drags on until 3 or 4 the next morning. Liu has hardly enough time for sleep, let alone a social life. But that has not stopped the tabloids from having a field day.

She has been linked with Hawick Lau, her co-star from Virtues of Harmony, and for the past two years, Moses Chan, whom she collaborated with in Healing Hands III and Love Bond.

Their chemistry on Love Bond was unmistakable such that Astro viewers voted them Favourite Couple at the Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards 2006.

Before the start of the interview, I was duly reminded of the "no personal questions" rule although I was free to ask details of her dog Mac's nuptials (last December she held a wedding ceremony for her two Bichon Frise pooches, Mac and Baily). But not so long ago, in a report in AsiaOne, Liu, caught off-guard, was asked if she would marry Chan.

"Huh? For me, marriage is not an option right now," she replied.

Liu revealed that while she enjoys her job, the downside is that she feels really worn out and while she has made good friends in the industry, it is difficult to maintain friendships.

"Everyone is busy. When filming for one series ends, each of us will move on to something else. We usually have to wait until we work together again in another drama to meet. But that is life.

"In the meantime, I have my dogs to keep me entertained," she concluded happily, flashing a sweet smile.

Bernice and Moses at Jockey Club Promotion

Rumoured couple Bernice Liu and Moses Chan appeared as a couple at the press conference for the Audemars Piguet QE II Cup, announcing that the race will be marked by a party on the 29th that will also be attended by Francis Ng and Xiong Dailin. During the event, Moses introduced the details of the race and the names of the horses, but got mixed up with two of the horses' names, but realizing his mistake he said: "I have just taken the two best horses and amalgamated their names!"

Bernice also slipped up after being asked if she bets on horses [Cantonese: "buying horses (maai ma)"], saying innocently: "No, horses are very expensive!" This caused some laughter from the audience and she realized that she had misunderstood the question. Moses says he has never bet on a horse, but when he received a free bet token as a gift, he won over $200 on it. Moses also reveals that the organizers have already arranged an outfit for him for the party and have drawn him some designs. He says: "It is a very deep V and tight fitting, (Will you be showing us your chest then?) Yes! I am not eating any fat now, so I have lost 3 inches from my waist, before when I was 200 lbs, I had a 36 inch waist!" Asked if she felt that Moses looks better now he is slimmer, Bernice said: "He is different when he is fat and thin, it depends on the role though. He looks better now he is slimmer."

Bernice Liu and Leo Ku attended the ceremony for the Fourth Sina.com.hk Advertisement Awards, where they both received awards. Bernice won the award for 'My Favourite Network Advertising Goddess' award for her Nike ads and Leo continued his reign as 'My Favourite Network Advertising Stylish Male Award'.

Leo has shot many ads in his time and he says his favourite ads are for 'machines' [Cantonese: 'gei', sounds similar to Leo's Chinese Name], so no matter if it is air conditioning or washing machines, then he is happy to accept. However, there is one type of 'gei' advert that he will not accept and that is for 'muscle' because he is not a muscleman and his 'eyes' (ie his nipples) are not very attractive. As a result, then no matter how attractive the fee is, he will not be moved. Leo indicates he has just turned down a 'muscle' ad that was offered to him by the gym sponsors to his concert in September because he felt he was not 'qualified' to appear semi-naked. He admits that the fee was quite good, but he will not consider it because he would rather keep his body private.

When the reporters said that he would reveal his body when he went swimming or sunbathing, Leo pointed out that when he does these thing, then he will always wear a t-shirt because he is not confident enought. Asked further if he has some kind of disfigurement he is hiding, he laughs that his 'eyes' are very big and they have eyelashes, so he would rather uses his other eyes to see the world. Asked how much money he has lost by turning these ads down, he did not reply directly, just saying: "Because I have problems with my 'eyes', then I daren't accept these ads and the chances of taking them in the future are slim." So he does not have a six-pack either? Leo laughs that in his lifetime, there will never have a six-pack because he is not muscly at all, just a pair of very dusky eyes.

Bernice was very pleased at winning her award and she says that this is the first time she has received such a prestigious advertising contract that really showcased her dance talent. She feels that the ad really reflected her personality in that it was very natural and so she is thankful to her sponsors for their appreciation of her. As well as her interest in dance and sport, Bernice is also interested in Chinese Martial Arts and she would like to take lessons. Asked if she is worried this will make her look more built, she smiles: "Of course not, I feel the most important thing is to be happy." Asked if she will ask Moses Chan to join her, she says that she thinks Moses already knows Kung Fu. She says that he has been losing weight for his series recently and she feels as an artiste, then they often have to learn a new skill for a series. Asked if she will really take Kung Fu classes, she says she does not know yet but if she does take on a martial arts series, then she will need to learn it.

Yeah the main reason i liked bernice becoz she's not those stick-thin and skinny type of actresses, and is comfortable and confident of her own body.
She's lost some weight and endorsing now for Marie France... I just hope she doesn't start gettin pressured and end up becoming skinny. Actresses like Kenix Kwok, sammi cheng, carina lau, all look to me getting skinnier maybe from media pressure... they used to look good.

Bernice Liu, yesterday officially signed the contract to become the Marie France's Hong Kong region image person with Christy Chung. Although the actress, unlike many spokespersons for other body shaping companies, will not be losing any weight but will still be pocketing over HK$1 million. It is no wonder that Bernice confidently expressed that her healthy body is natural and she does mind wearing bikinis in the advertisements.

Wearing a BCBG deep-v red frock, Bernice revealed cleavage and her back while she used the stage prop to poke Carl Ng. But Carl did not mind and instead, hugged Bernice as they posed for photos. Bernice Liu & Michael Miu at 'Pirates 3' Premiere

Bernice Liu appeared at the premiere for "Pirates of the Caribbean 3 : At World's End" held at Disneyland Hong Kong as an opening guest. The film was shown in its high-definition format and Bernice appeared in a period costume, which was rather conservative in design. She explains that the costume was provided by the organisers and as this is a Disney film, then it cannot be too sexy. She says that she thought she would be wearing in outfit similar to the female lead Keira Knightley.

Asked why she has been invited to be the guest at this event, Bernice says that maybe because she was the first to hold a birthday party at Disneyland after it was opened, where she was presented with a giant Mickey Mouse, so this year they presented her with a Minnie Mouse instead. During her introduction to the achievements of the "Pirates" films, Bernice misread some of the words in her lines and asked if she was too busy dressing up and not learning her lines properly, Bernice denies this and says she was just too nervous on the stage. Asked whether her fee was a five or a six figure sum, she smiled that if it is five, she is satisfied, but if it is six, she would be even happier.

With rumoured boyfriend Moses Chan having been linked recently with Linda Chung and Ada Choi in gossip, there have been reports that she has been trying to win him back by knitting him a jumper. Bernice says that she had learned to knit a scarf in the past, but this time she is learning to knit a jumper. So will she be giving her loving creation to Moses? She smiles that she is knitting a unisex design that is only one size. When the reporters suggest that Moses would be very happy to receive this as a gift, Bernice smiles that this is her first one, so of course she will give it to her parents and it depends how it turns out when it is finished.

Also at the premiere was Michael Miu and his family because his son and daughter wanted to watch the film and he wanted to watch Chow Yun Fat's performance. Michael says that if he had the opportunity to act in this film, he would like to have Chow's role and after watching the first two films and knowing that Johnny Depp's character is an immortal being, there is nothing fresh any more.

The film collaboration between four of the 'Tigers' entitled "Brothers" will be filming on location in Thailand at the end of the month. In the film, Eason Chan will be playing Michael's younger brother, Felix Wong and Ken Tong will be members of a triad family and Andy Lau will play a cop, whilst mainland actress Huang Yi will be the female lead. With Tony Leung being the missing tiger in this film, Michael explains that when Andy opened filming for this movie, he had not planned a role for Tony because of the clash of characters and also because of Tony's expensive fee and lack of schedule time. Michael says that he hopes for the five tigers to be reunited once again, but he does not know whether Tony wants this. However, there will be chance to work together again in the future and it is not like the reports in the press where they are enemies.

The paparazzi took some pictures of Ada Choi and Moses Chan hanging out in Thailand (current filming location of Jewel's Splendor) and they came up with the conclusion that they are more than just friends. There is something about the two of them being missing for 2 hours, hanging out in a cave. Ada said that she and Moses are good friends and that he is a good man. Moses said he takes it for a laugh, and he does not mind. When ask rumored girlfriend Bernice about Ada and Moses being missing for two hours, she replied, "As long as they're happy." And when asked if she and Moses broke up, her reply was she never said they dated.

Yesterday, TO TAI YU (Michael Tao), LIU BIK YEE (Bernice Liu), and SO YUK WAH (Louisana So), etc. arrived to Japan to film outdoor scenes for the new drama, "Harmony Taste Passion." In this trip they will go to Kyushu, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, etc. to film scenes of them going to spas, to volcanoes, beaches, fish markets, and lakeside romantic scenes. Michael laughed and said that there were a lot of pretty ladies going on this trip with him. However, he would not be having any kissing scenes. If he does "mouth one, not mouth the other", it would not be fair.

Two days ago Michael did not attend to a promotional function for his other new drama, "On the First Beat". He explained that because he was in the Mainland to "find real money", he couldn't go. He also laughed and said with NG CHUEK HEI (Ron Ng) and CHAN KIN FUNG (Sammul Chan) around, everything will be alright. Besides, Michael not going to the function is another trick for more promotion. Soon when he will return to Hong Kong from Japan, he will be concentrating on doing promotions for this drama and he hopes that it will gain some good ratings. As for the airing of "On the First Beat" will be right after "Greed of Heart", he said that he has full confidence in the drama. Besides, he said, the two dramas are completely different. "On the First Beat" will definitely win in the action scenes, however.

Bernice Liu explained that for this trip she had prepared for 5 swimsuits. This is because in one of her scenes she will be at the beach to save someone. When asked if Bernice has the guts to film a spa scene naked, she said that she does, but because she is afraid that the paparazzi will take pictures, she does not dare to do so.

Bernice Liu was at a promotion for the Digital Doctor yesterday where she appeared as an OL and as a nurse to introduce the services of the digital multimedia health service. Yumiko Cheng's wardrobe malfunction affair in Canada has become the recent talk of the town and as Bernice has just returned from a show in Canada, she was asked about the incident. She says that each time she performs, then she will make sure that she has taken all precautions and when she was taking part in beauty contests, the minders had warned her about having underclothes. However, sometimes these things are unavoidable and as a dancer herself, Bernice knows that sometimes when the actions are big, then she will make sure she has an extra strap on her dress to make sure that it does not fall or maybe have a dress underneath. She smiles that she only learned about nipple tape after entering showbiz.

Bernice joined several TVB artistes at the recording of "The Same Song" earlier, but was accused of lip synching. She explains that everyone else was the same that night, maybe because the company was worried about them not singing their own songs and therefore the results not being as good. As for her Mandarin being mocked by Eric Tsang, she says that she will work hard at improving her Cantonese and Mandarin and she feels that Eric speaks Mandarin too fast and she has to listen hard to understand, but she does not mind being joked about as long as everyone is happy as they watch.

Bernice Liu took part in the opening event of an exhibition of art by modern artist Burton Morris at Kowloon Tong's Festival Walk yesterday, attended by the artist himself. During the show, they fed each other popcorn and he led Bernice off the stage to show him his artwork. He seemed rather enamoured by Bernice as he placed his hand around her waist. Asked if she felt he had his hand around her waist too much, Bernice says: "No, he just touched me. Nat Chan's Olympic Quiz continued filming earlier and guests on the night were Bernice Liu, Sharon Luk and Tracy Ip. Nat jumped on the opportunity to make jokes with Bernice about Moses Chan, using his character 'Dak Dak Dei' [Cantonese: 'Pretty Good'] as the basis of his jokes as he asked when he gave her a watch: "Dak Ng Dak? [Is it good?]" and then when Bernice replied "Ho Dak" [Very Good] then he laughed: "See, I knew you like Dak Dak Dei."

Tracy has been taking singing lessons and she will be singing in public for the first time on Father's Day as well as a duet with Raymond Lam. As a result she has been taking extra lessons to avoid embarrassment. Talking of Raymond being signed by EEG, Tracy feels that if the opportunity arises, then signing with any record company would not be a problem and even if she has to work with rumoured boyfriend Don Li, then she will not mind.

Dance talent Bernice Liu donned her dancing shoes to promote a new mobile phone model yesterday when she joined two male models for a rather raunchy dance number. As they became absorbed in their routine, one of the men placed his hand rather close to her bust, but the westernised Bernice did not seem to mind at all, saying: "You will get some close contact when you are dancing, it is very normal."

As for her needs from a phone, Bernice says that the most important thing is the camera because she is quite snap-happy and loves taking photos with her phone, including pictures of landscapes, people and her two beloved dogs. Recently, her pet dog Mac has become pregnant and she has filmed the whole process at the vets with her camera. Asked which people she usually photographs, she says her friends and the crew. Bosco's Reputation Precedes Him - Bernice says No Sparks

For Bernice Liu, when she was filming for "Devil's Disciple" with Bosco, he openly picked up her lunch box for her and there were rumours of sparks between them. Yesterday Bernice and Fiona Yuen attended "Maxim's Chinese Culinary Chef Program" function, the two beauties not only gave awards to the chefs, also prepared some food under the instructions of these big chefs!

Bernice expressed, she only knows how to cook western style, usually using the oven to prepare the food, does not know anything about Chinese cooking, and of course does not know how to prepare the traditional chinese soups of long boiling, she usually uses her mother's pre-packaged soup ingredients, then add water and boil it to drink. Bernice laughed, it's best to know a guy that knows how to cook chinese so I can learn chinese cooking. Asking if rumoured boyfriend Moses Chan would meet the qualifications, she said he's not a chinese style guy.

Lately Bernice is rising popularity, exposure rates are high, sucessfully pressing "TV Queen" Charmaine Sheh, becoming this year's highest earning TV actress. Bernice says, work is all arranged by the company, the company is giving her opportunities, don't make comparisons. She says, Charmaine is my senior, have to learn lots from her. Charmaines Cantonese and Mandarin is good, comparing she's bad, still working hard to learn. Asking about this year's earnings, is it the highest since entering the industry? Also, Fiona usually doesn't know how to cook chinese, her best is western and German dishes, because her boyfriend is constantly not in Hong Kong, he rarely gets the chance to try her skills.

This year's TVB Anniversary lighting ceremony featured the dance performance of the cast of "Steps" 《舞動全城》. Bernice Liu, Steven Ma, Kate Tsui, Matthew Ko, Fala Chen and Stephen Huynh Wong Cheung Hing performed in a Latin dance segment.

Bernice Liu and Fala Chen are Not Friends

Fala Chen, in an earlier interview with Stephen Chen, denied being friends with Bernice Liu. Yesterday, at a public event, Bernice expressed that she and Fala are not friends but are colleagues because they have only worked together on one television series. The actress then disclosed that she had only gotten to know Steven Ma better after they filmed their second series. When asked if she was worried that her rumoured boyfriend, Moses Chan, might have rumours with Kate Tsui, when they film ‘Heart of Greed 2’ (心風暴2), Bernice replied, “No, I am currently working on new series with Gallen Lo and Raymond Wong.”

Bernice, who is currently renting an apartment, hopes to be able to earn enough money to buy a bigger house because she has five dogs. Bernice expressed that because of Hong Kong's strong economy, by the time she saves up enough money, the house prices would already have risen.

I haven't seen the 40th Anniversary Lighting Ceremony yet.. but the impression I've always had of Bernice (from interviews and appearances on game shows) is that she is quite humble and down-to-earth.. can't imagine her thinking she's "all that"..

Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) was invited to attend a promotional event for Swiss Life Skin Products today, where she was lent a pearl necklace to wear that was worth HK$800,000.

Bernice was also presented with a jar of the skin product in a limited edition bottle worth HK$2800. The product's creator is Prince Michael Massalsky, a Russian prince and descendent of the traditional royal family. He seemed to get on very well with Bernice at the event as they posed for photographs and shared deep conversation.

Afterwards, Bernice said that she did not realise he was a prince and said he found her to have a good image, beautiful skin and a lovely smile, so he invited her to the event and this made her very happy.

Talking of the value of her necklace, Bernice said that she did buy herself a black pearl when she was on holiday in Australia and with the TVB anniversary approaching, she will soon be going shopping for her outfit and jewellery.

There have been reports recently showing Bernice's father and assistant out shopping, suggesting that he was buying red wine for her to celebrate with rumoured boyfriend Moses Chan (陳豪) after he wins the TVB best actor award. Asked about this, Bernice said she found the report very amusing because neither she nor Moses were present on that day and her father was actually buying dog food. She added that she could not stop laughing when she saw the report. As for whether she would be celebrating with Moses if he did win the award, she said she will see after the event because she does not know if he will win yet and of course she would like to win as well.

Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) and dance instructor Zhou Zhikun (周志坤) were guest judges at an open dance contest today and they also gave a demonstration of Latin dance on the stage. She was very excited to meet the Chinese dance legend Huang Rei (黃蕊) at the event and said that if the attempt to break the record for the most people dancing at once in an event at the Peak, then she will be very happy.

With rumoured boyfriend Moses Chan (陳豪) winning two top awards at the TVB Anniversary awards ceremony yesterday, Bernice said that she was very happy for him. Asked if she would be celebrating with him, she said that she would not because she has not been invited to any celebrations. As for whether she will buy him a congratulatory gift, she replied that he has already received the two best gifts he could want. She added that Moses was fully deserving of his awards because his performance as "Dak Dak Dei" was outstanding and very popular.

Bernice came away from the awards empty handed and she said that of course she would have been happy if she had won, but she will carry on working hard. She also said graciously that she was pleased for her Steps <舞動全城> co-stars Fala Chen (陳法拉) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) for their achievements.

Following the sneak preview into the wardrobes of the artistes with the outfits at the TVB Anniversary awards ceremony on Saturday, the full glory of many months of preparation by the stars, especially the ladies, were revealed in the artiste parade of the TVB 40th Anniversary Extravaganza <萬千星輝賀台慶> this evening.

To tie in with the party atmosphere, many of the ladies left their monotone shades at home and donned a splash of colour for the celebration. However, the combinations seemed to work much better for some than others.

Fresh from winning the Best Actress award, Lee Si Kei (李司棋) lived up to her status, wearing her own traditional design jade green dress and sponsored jewellery with a total value of HK$22 million and featuring over 70 carats of diamonds and rubies and truly showing that mature ladies can still look stunning. Fellow award-winner and Heart of Greed co-star Susanna Kwan (關菊英) also sported rubies to tie in with the ruby anniversary theme, wearing jewels totalling 242 carats and worth HK$12.8 million. Her second set of jewellery included sapphires, diamonds and pink rubies and was worth HK$8 million. Unfortunately her lilac fluffball dress suggested "eskimo" rather than "elegant".

Hong Kong's favourite designer Dorian Ho (何國鉦) was responsible for MC Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲)'s two outfits for the evening, that were worth a total of HK$100,000. The bright pink full length crystal-encrusted gown accentuated Carol's height and perfect waist, making her look better than ever as she also showed off over 200 carats of diamonds, worth HK$13 million. Carol's second gown, an Egyptian blue assymetric design that she wore for the closing shot was also simply beautiful.

In contrast, Liza Wang (汪明荃)'s silver dress was a terrible choice, which made her look quite plump and stumpy and detracting the limelight from her massive HK$24 million worth of jewellery. Unfortunately, her orange dress was not much of an improvement, making her look like an 1980's bridesmaid. This was disappointing as Liza is normally known to have a better choice of style.

Fortunately, the younger female MCs for the evening followed Carol's example and Tracy Ip (葉翠翠)'s yellow mermaid dress, Sharon Chan (陳敏之)'s simple lilac satin slip and Anna Yau (丘凱敏)'s sweet innocent yellow gown were all worth a mention.

Fala Chen (陳法拉) may have beaten Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) to an award on Saturday, but her black outfit by Just Cavalli and HK$2.5 million jewellery were no match for the Gucci-clad Bernice in a white cleopatra dress that had been flown in from Milan especially for her and Bvlgari jewellery worth HK$4 million.

Again dressed in Versace, Gigi Lai (黎姿) was not as eye-catching in her simple white dress in comparison to the detailed design of her dress at the awards. Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) finally moved away from the black and white theme, opting for a blue frilly number, which looked pretty, but was not very flattering for her figure. Her jewellery was also worth several millions of dollars.

Tavia Yeung (楊怡) stuck to the brown theme for her outfit, but unfortunately, the cut left her looking pregnant from some angles. Once again, Shirley Yeung (楊思琦) decided to stand out from the crowd with her choice of outfit, wearing a strange concoction of feathers and foliage, that was certainly unique if nothing else. She need not have bothered with her millions of dollars worth of diamonds because you were too mesmerised by the colour of her dress.

Kate Tsui (徐子珊) and Mandy Cho (曹敏莉) also revealed designer diamonds worth HK$12 million and HK$8 million respectively.

Since Bernice Liu failed to win the "Most Improved Actress" Award at the TVB Anniversary, there have been rumors that this was due to her recent refusal to sign a 8 year contract with TVB. Thus TVB decided to give the award to Kate Tsui Tsi San instead!

Moses Chan (陳豪), Lynn Xiong (熊黛林) and Sharon Kwok (郭秀雲) were guests at an Estee Lauder function today, with Moses and Lynn appearing as dancing partners.

Four caucasian Christmas beauties were arranged to give TVB Best Actor Moses a kiss, but this gesture immediately made him very flushed and embarrassed. Afterwards, he claimed that he is actually quite a conservative person and he often finds his face turning red when he is in the company of women. When the reporters suggested that he should try taking tips from his rumoured girlfriend Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) on how to handle these situations, he pretended not to hear and did not respond.

When the MC wished him success in love and career, Moses said that he is focussing on his work at the moment and has no plans to start a family yet. He added that his ambition is to perform in Romeo and Juliet and then encouraged everyone to ask him who his Juliet would be.

Lynn was asked whether she would like to be the female lead in the musical that rumoured boyfriend Aaron Kwok (郭富城) is planning, but she said that she does not have the ability and does not dare to ask him to teach her. She also revealed that with all her work this year, she will be paying a six-figure sum in taxes this year, howveer, she hopes that next year it will be a seven-figure sum. Asked if she will be bringing her family to Hong Kong soon, she said that it depends on their needs.

Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) took part in a promotional event for the Santa's Grotto at Pacific Place in Admiralty. She was joined by Santa Claus, who had flown in especially, not from Lapland, but from Canada and she fulfilled her childhood wish of sharing a dance and a hug with Santa.

Bernice revealed that when she was in Canada, she lived in a small town and every year, she would take a train to seek Father Christmas and write down her wishes on a card, hoping that he will bring her Barbie dolls and toy stables. She also told of how she only found out the truth about Santa when she was an adult, but she will keep many happy memories of her imagination as a child.

For Christmas this year, Bernice will be preparing many gifts for her friends and family and she will also be releasing a special book about her five beloved dogs, with the proceeds being donated to a children's charity. She hopes that the book will bring as much joy to the children and readers as they have brought to her.

i love bernice.. she's really pretty and cute!!
she's not fat ok.. just not a pack of bones like other typical HK actresses.
she looks big-size cos' she's tall, but not skinny.
she's more towards a little fleshy but her figure is good..
although she didn't win fala, i think she looked gorgeous in her white cleopatra dress..

Bernice Liu vs. Chiling Lin @ '2007 China Fashion Awards’

The ‘2007 China Fashion Awards’ was held last night in Shanghai. Celebrities from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea attended the prestigious event, including, Vicki Zhao, Liza Wang, Bernice Liu, Gaile Lok, Chiling Lin, Vic Zhou, Lun-Mei Kwai, Sakai Noriko, Lee Jun-Ki and Joe Cheng. Despite the freezing cold weather at 6pm, the female celebrities slowly made their way down the red carpet, hoping to steal the spotlight. Bernice Liu, with her curvy body and Taiwanese top model, Chiling Lin, both wore low cut gowns, hence bringing the temperature of the venue to a high.

Bernice, who was wearing a Gucci frock and over $1 million of sponsored jewellery, was obviously ready to win the spotlight. Unfortunately, Chiling was equally as stunning. It was earlier rumoured that Chiling would have been the host for the event if not for a working pass problem, that made her unable to accept the job.

Taiwanese idols, Vic Zhou and Lun-Mei Kwai graced the red carpet together. Regarding the butterfly brooch on his suit, Vic explained, “I have been promoting my new movie, ‘Hu Die Fei’ (蝴蝶飛), so by wearing this brooch I hope to attract more media attention.”

For year 2007, TVB drama 'Heart of Greed' that was to become the hot topic in town and the highest viewership ratings naturally reaped rewards in terms of revenue for the artiste in the show. But the two who made the most money was "Couple" Bernice Liu & Moses Chan.
