King Kong

I just finshed watching it last night and I enjoyed it a lot. There was a suprising amount of comedy blended into it, well 99% of the jokes came from Jack Black. The visuals were amazing, especially the fight scenes with man vs nature and ape vs everyone.

There was a mix of just about everything in equal proportions: love/romance, comedy, and action. Meaning there won't be a huge action scene then 2 hrs of talking. Instead there would be maybe 30min of talk then 30min of kickass action.

Overall I think Peter Jackson did a fantasic job. This is one of the best movies i've seen in my life. :bowdown:

yeah..i plan on seeing it next wkn....i just hate the fact that its 3hrs long..but love the idea its exactly like the original...with some added holloywood scenes...good shit...

this movie is amazing. even teh OLD black and white version was very good in terms of story line.

THe new one will obviously have the good story line of the old movie, but this time with amazing computer graphics.

i heard that this movie is really good.
but its apparently alot like the LOTR series.
(i mean, by the way the scene is shown and the music used etc)

but i plan to watch it soon ^^

maybe too much visual affects-_- i had a headache after the movie...im a huge peter jackson fan... so how can i not like this... it was nicely made.. definate a good remake of a great story...since theres no more LOTR.. king kong will probably be the best movie of 2005 :naughty:

lol i watched KING.KONG 3 days ago.. and it was a good film;;

the graphics and musical scores really did it for me.. and as i never knew what the story was about.. it was indeed a pleasure to watch.. 3 hrs is the only negative factor i can think of.. but u will soon forget about the length once ur into it..

King Kong is my fav movie of 2005. It was so much more than just an action movie. 3 hrs isn't too bad considering I sat through the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy at the movie theatres!

I watched King Kong a few nights back and to be frank i thought the movie sucked big time :D . Prolly just me but i thought it was one of the most boring films i have ever seen. Thats 3hrs of my life wasted that ill never get back lol. Mind u as most folks in this thread suggested King Kong Vs 3 Trex was pretty kool. Only bit worthed watching really.

This was a great movie I just watched it yesterday...but the beginning was wayyyyy toooo long. I think they prolonged the beginning too much... but I would rate it a 9/10. worth watching

Wot can i say eh? Apart from as i have said before that film sux and its 3hrs of my life that ill never get back. I would rather sit down and watch say Bambi than watching that biggest piece of monkey trash. I think the money they put in to make the movie could have went to better use if they invested in me as the next big movie star or something. :D

i liked it a lot. Mostly just for the monkey though. So cuute! I would recommend going to see it just to exprerience the tremendous progress from we've made from other oversized creature movies.
