Cool...and quite a bit dazzeling....

In Rotterdam (somewhere in holland) you have architecture like this:

Try google for 'kubuswoningen' if u would like to know more about this form of dutch architecture.

sorry for being so pessimistic with these buildings, but theyre are sooo inefficient. I think theyre cool and neat. and if all buildings were square and boring, that would make a very boring world. but for the construction of these buildings, it must have required so much waste of material and poor construction productivity and bla bla bla... i am sorry, this is just occupation talk. i just want to let you guys know the other side of the view.
i like pretty things too

This building is a famous guesthouse in a town called Matsumotoshi 松本市 in the Nagano 長野県 (Chuubu area). The writing on the roof is さかさ レスト とんちん館 pronounced as "sakasa resuto tonchinkan" means upside down hotel/guesthouse. Tonchinkan とんちん館 and kanji: 頓珍漢 are both pronounced as Tonchinkan but 頓珍漢 means in Japanese = absurdity. This tonchinkan is a play of kanji words to mean two things: absurdity and guesthouse , i.e. a clever double meaning.

Here are some photos: Just inside and past the entrance, sign at the entrance, menu and the car park view at the back. -whistle

The following shows how you get there and the specials on the menu which is fish curry, first item and the second is omelette and rice. Go there and see for yourself.

さかさレスト とんちん館

住所 長野県松本市島内5030
営業時間 10:00~22:00
定休日 月曜日
紹介メニュー さかさカレー 680円
        オムライス 680円
交通 JR大糸線 島内駅下車 徒歩5分

Oui, j'habite a Mtl depuis plusieurs annees. Et toi? Ne me dis pas t'es originaire de mtl aussi, si c'est le cas, c'est chouette.

Le chinois, ca se parle pas mal depuis ces dernieres annees puisqu'il y a beaucoup de chinois qui viennent etudier.

@ hiake, glad that u finally decided to type in french. ton francais n'est pas si mal que ca. Ayez confiance ma belle. -^_^

Gotta start from somewhere no? If u can watch zombie movies by urself in the theater, typing in french is a lot less scary than that.

hiake
05-13-2007, 11:41 PM
No, I can assure you typing in French is MUCH MORE scary than seeing a zombie film alone...

But that's just me :P Though you are definitely right about having to start SOMEWHERE... -unsure
