BUT PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD OUT!

    1. Download BETV.rar file and extract it into "Program Files" folder
(the file is uploaded to SkyDrive, it is guaranteed to have no virus, please don't worry)
(if the link does not work, please tell me)
    2. REMEMBER! DO NOT UPDATE THE PROGRAM
    3. Install HDPlayer-3.3.2.exe
    4. Open BETV.exe directly
    5. Please note that TVB Jade is not working, only HD Jade, Pearl, News and J2 work.
    6. Again, please do not spread this out, we don't want BETV to have "further actions".

    Hope this helps everybody!

btw, can those who have TVPad2 tell me if TVB Jade (not HD Jade) is working now?

Looks like I have missed all the fun here. Never noticed that the channels were gone to be honest. I just tested and all channels still work on SopCast using the URLs from the main post.

    Thanks Taxidriverhk for the info.

I too have the same question? For those who already bought a TVPad2, is the regular TVB still working for you?
If it is still working, I think it is worth buying one.
As long as it provides TVB service for at least a year, it is worth it and I would be happy to buy it for $200.

Where is the best place to buy the TVPad2? I remember seeing it on EBAY, but can't find it there anymore.
I know their website http://www.lwstb.com sells it. But is there any other places that sells it?
I prefer buying it from Ebay, and using Paypal to pay for it if it is available.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

The main TVB channel is the only one that is shut down. But all the other channels are still working so far.
I think maybe the TVPad developers are starting to keep the links hidden, which I think it is a great idea because it will keep the stream up without TVB shutting it down.
I am more than happy to buy the TVPad2 if TVB is still working on the device.

When I said all channels, I did mean ALL channels (including non-HD TVB Jade) Now I stopped all the channels and restarted them again and indeed, TVB Jade is offline. I guess I shouldn't have done that

    Phantoman.

Do you mean that TVB Jade was still working for you before the last post?
If TVB Jade was still working until you stopped the channels and restarted them, I think that is a good sign.
It means that TVB Jade is still up and running. The TVPad developers are just not publishing the link to the public anymore.

I am sorry that you had to find out the hard way that TVB Jade is offline

I don't think you need to have the tv on but the DTV box and there has to be internet access to your home, that means the router and modem have to be on...

Yes, it was working then, at least it looked like it was. I only watched it for like 5 seconds to confirm it was working. If it is the case, then they probably moved the channel to another SopCast tracker.

It would be nice if TVPad users can confirm whether it works or not.

I think the official site is http://www.lwstb.com/ which will then refer you to http://www.tvpad.hk/tvpad/01/index.html . Mostly in Chinese though, so hopefully you can read it. Otherwise you have to wait for luisfabiano.

Oh btw, Merry Christmas y'all !!!

That's correct. I bought it on the official site. They shipped the unit via DHL and it arrived very fast.
Well, my mom translated to me but I think you can use the chrome built-in translator as well. Or you can ask me and I ask my mom.

The only concern is that you must have a TV with a HDMI input.

    Happy Xmas!!!

    Hi luisfabiano,
I think the TVPad version M121 does not require HDMI input anymore
because it has included AV port already....
so almost every tv can use it.....
but may just have low quality with using AV port

    Hi luisfabiano.

How did you order your TVPad2? Did you call in or did you just ordered it through the website? How much did you pay for it? I see that it is selling for USD $229.
I live in the United States and just need help because I can't read any chinese. I am buying this for my parents to watch.
Because all of the channels on the TVpad is in HDTV, I prefer using the newest TVpad with the HDMI.

I see that you can update the TVPad firmware to the latest version with Android that also comes with new apps.
Are any of the new apps good to use? Which apps would you recommend to get?
Since you got the TVPad, has TVB Jade streaming ever gone down?

Thank you for all your help luisfabiano, Phantoman, and also for everyone.
    Merry Christmas to all!!!

    Hi Phantoman,

honestly, there are many periods of time that the programs in Jade are the same as those in HDJade
but, HDJade usually replays programs at least once within a day, and Jade does not.
and Jade plays programs like Sports World, RTHK programs, old dramas but HDJade does not
that's the reason we want Jade (non-HD) for most......
