Hmmm... Nodame is pretty good, I loved it. If you don't mind watching old stuff GTO is also a good one. Out of all the jdrama i saw these two are the best.

I usually go around cruncyroll and stream dramas . If i find it interesting I go download them by torrent because I just can't watch drama with bad quality.

1 Litre of Tears, amazing, wonderful, it'll make you cry yet cherish life that much more.
It's really good.
And Hana Yori Dango, one of the best I've ever watched, and I watch lots of dramas.

JDrama! Of course...
I loved Hana Yori Dango, there's 2 season which was based on a manga.
Also, there's Orange Days, this story was very good, sweet, sad!

Try also some K Drama like Full House (Best Award 2004), My Girl and Hong Gil Dong (which is airing right now on TV)

i guess depends on wat type of drama you after
i high recommend the romantic comedy genre where 'Hana Yori Dango' and 'Nodame Cantabile' fits in... both based on mangas and both kept me awake coz i was that addicted
for some more serious romance and something you wanna grab a tissue box with a watch.. 1 Litre of Tears..
and for laughs i suggest GTO.. a little old and slightly vulgar... but still great!

Majo no Jouken is a really good drama, especially if you like to see how 2 people who love each other try their hardest to show everyone that they can and will make it in love. It's basically about a younger teacher who falls in love with one of her students and how everyone oppresses them because of the age gap and that the teacher is supposed to be the role model or whatever. It is a forbidden love in some cases, after all. I loved it and I'm sure you would too if you haven't watched it already. You could watch it on either veoh(you need to download the veoh player to watch the eps but they're worth it!) crunchyroll, mysoju, or youtube. You might want to type "Forbidden Love" on any of the above sites I gave you because more results popped up. The only other jdrama I've watched is "Last Christmas" and I grew fond of that series over time as well, though Forbidden Love will always be my favorite. Hope this helps and enjoy!

Last Friends, definiteeeeeeely recommend this one.
It stars Nagasawa Masami, Ueno Jur, Eita, Nishikido Ryo, and Mizukawa Asami.
The cast and storyline of the show is amazing and it won 10 awards and viewership rating peaked at 25.9%.
The theme song is also very good, Utada Hikaru - Prisoner of Love.
