His numbers will slide when carmelo returns. Lin needs the ball in his hand to maintain his numbers and that is not gonna happen when the ball hoggin melo returns. Look at amare's number be4 n after melo arrives.

Haven't been watching NBA for ages, but what's special about Lin compared to guys like Kobe, Kevin Duran, even Iverson?

hes asian and a harvard graduate!!!!
That's obviously part of it. But it's also because he came off the end of the bench to MSG sensation overnight. I will honestly tell you that I didn't know too much about his game and thought he was eventually going to disappear.

Ball wise, he has a high basketball IQ. He makes good decisions most of the time. You might ask why he has such a high turnover rate if he makes good decisions. Mainly because his passing skill is not all that great yet. If you watch the Minnesota game, there were plenty of times where he tried to thread the needle and turn it over. He tried to pull off passes that a Rondo, Rubio or Nash could do. The only difference is his passing is not comparable to those 3. He also often likes to go to his right even when his left would be the better option. This leaves me to believe that his left isn't up to par. Then again I'm not 100% sure. This guys has only played 5 games and there's still a lot more time to evaluate him.

Probably the most humble NBA player. Read somewhere that he sleeps on his brother's couch. No place of his own. And no tattoos.
