wow.. i couldn't resist.. first thread!! sorry.. just had to do this for fun..
but i cant' be just spamming right? so i decided to find some info on the series
and realised there was a 1981 version and a 2000 remake:

1981 version

2000 version

In 1981, ATV (Asia Television Limited, and Hong Kong's first television station) produced and broadcast the first Television series to feature this legendary Chinese Martial Artist, known as "The Legendary Fok (大俠霍元甲)". There were a total of 20 episodes. The actor that portrayed Huo YuanJia in this version is Wong Yuen Sun (黃元申). Huo's student Chen Zhen is also in this story's plot, and portrayed by Bruce Leung (梁小龍), see Kung Fu Hustle. A remake of this series was also produced by another television station in Mainland China sometime in 2000-2001. That version stars Vincent Zhao Wen-Zhou / Vincent Chiu Man-Cheuk (趙文卓) as Huo YuanJia.

2007 version

郑伊健及陈小春继《古惑仔》电影後，多年来首次聚头参演中国内地剧集《霍元甲》！这部耗资3,000万人民币、国内大型电视剧刚于10月9日起在内地首播，由鞠觉亮执导、文艺片导演关锦鹏破天荒首次为武侠电视剧出任艺术总监，并夫找曾打造《射雕英雄传》和《上海滩》等TVB金牌编剧陈翘英主理剧本。这部是伊健首次接拍内地电视剧，伊健及小春更须剃头来分别饰演两位武术宗师霍元甲及陈真；其他角色包括扮演女主角赵倩男的周牧茵，扮演陈真的恋人王秀芝的屈玥等。

相比李连杰电影《霍元甲》或是1981年黄元申版《大侠霍元甲》，剧中郑伊健演绎的霍元甲显出一股儒雅气质，而陈小春则不改鬼马本色。新版中加插了大量霍元甲元与两个女人元配王蕓及赵倩男的情感戏，还有父子情、夫妻情、兄弟情和民族情等江湖情。多场的武斗场面除了保留了老剧本的原汁原味及爱国的霍元甲民族情结之外，还有陈真与霍元甲从不共戴天到生死之交的转变，霍元甲抽大烟以及陈真与日本间谍王秀芝之间的爱恨情仇，霍元甲与大刀王五之间的师徒恩情。由袁家班谷轩昭担当武指，剧集以武戏为主，郑伊健会耍出将武术和表演相辅相成的迷踪拳，绝不会让观众失望。

2007年上半年，新版《霍元甲》乃首部代表中国出征罗马国际电视节的电视剧，在当地地引起了轰动，口碑不俗。
